Beautiful Highlands North Carolina Wedding

Sophistication with a touch of Elegance at Old Edwards Inn

Nestled amongst the beauty of the mountains, this Highlands, North Carolina wedding was the perfect winter soiree. Old Edwards Inn provides an elevated hospitality experience from the food and beverage, accommodations, transportation, events, spa, and more which makes it a great choice for a wedding venue. A Highlands, North Carolina wedding is a perfect mix of mountain aesthetic with classic, warm interior ideal for a black tie event. Chelsea’s emerald color palette blended perfectly with the cool tones of winter highlighted on their crisp winter wedding day.

Highlights of a Highlands North Carolina Wedding

Highlands, NC is a sophisticated town with many memorable highlights including the Farm at Old Edwards Inn. Something that makes it so remarkable is the multiple indoor locations for ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. These areas offer the option to close the doors in the cold, or keep them open, welcoming in the fresh mountain air during warmer months. Chelsea and Alejandro took advantage of this by closing the doors on their winter wedding day. The couple made the most of every amenity at Old Edwards Inn, fully embracing the experience. The pavilion was a quiet space for them to enjoy private moments on their busy day. Chelsea shared a moment with her father on the bridal pavilion just moments before he walked her down the aisle. The pavilion was also the perfect space for the newlyweds to share their private bite with delicious food and drink.

The Perfect Winter Wedding Details

Chelsea, being sophisticated yet genuine, showed the best of both worlds on her wedding day. She chose comfort during pictures by wearing her UGG boots to keep warm which we thought was such a fun idea for the chilly weather. Her stunning bridesmaids kept warm with their long sleeve, velvet dresses and fur shawls which were the perfect detail. Chelsea later exchanged her comfort for elegance and slipped into her Louis Vuitton heels to walk down the aisle. It was such a joy watching Chelsea and Alejandro involve all of their loved ones on wedding day including their furry friend. The couple’s pup even joined in on the first look adding a special touch to their perfect moment. Chelsea and Alejandro’s first look was a sweet glimpse into their love for one another.

The Delight of a Highlands, North Carolina Wedding

It is a delight working at this Highlands, North Carolina wedding venue because of the pristine service that the staff is sure to offer. They always go above and beyond in professionalism, efficiency, and event execution as no detail is forgotten on the big day. This is a great option for larger weddings because the interior of this venue provides a blank slate for decor and can accommodate up to 200 people seated. Another one of the highlights of Old Edwards Inn is the charming town it is located in. Highlands, NC offers the perfect weekend retreat for wedding guests to stay and enjoy some fun, adding to their weekend of celebration. It’s a winter wonderland for those who want to enjoy skiing or other winter sports. Definitely check out Ugly Dog Pub’s wings if you are in the area!

Ashley Skutka, Owner of Hamilton Events notes: “What made this wedding so magical was more than the elevated service and hospitality standards of Old Edwards Inn. Chelsea and Alejandro are those one-of-a-kind couples that reminds us why we love what we do. Their love and respect for each other was so apparent, and it was evident to everyone who played a role on their wedding day. It was an absolute joy working with Chelsea for almost two years planning together. Chelsea valued quality in each of her wedding vendors to ensure that her day would run smoothly and be everything she dreamed of… and more. All of their family and friends were a delight to celebrate with on wedding day, and seeing her vision come to life was so special. I was honored to be a part of their wedding day, and truly feel like I’ve gained a lifelong friend to cheer on from the sidelines.”
