Elizabeth and Chase’s Abney Hall wedding was a masterful blend of timeless elegance and playful personality. Set in Greenwood, South Carolina, their celebration felt intimate yet elevated from the very beginning. Thoughtful details, a strong design vision, and a warm atmosphere came together to reflect who they are as a couple. Overall, the day felt refined, joyful, and effortless.
Where Color and Pattern Met
The reception design blended classic style with a playful point of view through a soft, layered color palette of muted teal, light blue, sage green, light chartreuse, and slate blue. These colors appeared throughout the day on linens, ceremony seating, and bar details, which helped create a cohesive look. Thanks to Laura Adison Designs, the invitation suite and day-of details introduced these colors and patterns early on, allowing guests to experience the design story before the celebration even began.
Stripes became the signature detail and helped anchor the design, especially through the patterned linens provided by BBJ La Tavola and Crisp Event Rentals. Meanwhile, florals by Becca Zorn Floral Design added softness and movement throughout the space. Scalloped edges, dotted lines, and solid textures brought in additional depth. To keep the reception visually engaging, each table featured a slightly different mix of patterns and textures. As a result, guests experienced something new at every seat while still enjoying a timeless and connected design.

The day began with Elizabeth getting ready alongside her bridesmaids, a quiet excitement building as the final details came together. The morning felt relaxed and meaningful, allowing space to take in each moment before the celebration unfolded outdoors at Abney Hall.
As the day continued, ice cream from Clare’s Creamery added a simple, joyful touch. It was the kind of detail that invited guests to slow down, smile, and savor the moment.
